Re: Thunderboat row
OK guys I have the movie on vhs,Irecorded it way back when. It was a network movie that originally aired May of 1991. It is a loose interpretation of the Don Aronow , Ben Kramer deal that ultimately led to the KINGS death. Thats it in a nut shell the info given by others was all correct . The boats involved were a US customs cat that I believe Don built along with some generic looking cats that i have no idea who made . Some good film shots of 188th st and Fort Apache. Also some shots with 90's era cigs. and others in the back ground. I am going to look around to see if I can get this made to DVD then get alot of copies made give me a couple of days . i'll get back to everyone. Remember this is a network movie done on a network budget its OK but don't expect too much. If you are into offshore boats as I am you will enjoy.

Re: Thunderboat row
Hulk Hogan did a similar effort, or was it the same thing? I don't think the ratings were high enough to make it a regular series. Can't
t remember much about it.

Re: Thunderboat row
It was a made for TV ABC Pilot that that aired twice I think. I managed to record it and I still have the VHS tape off of TV, but I don't have the first 5 minutes. I checked the TV Guide every week for 2 years hoping it would become the series...
Watching it now...it's horrible. The 39' Aronow Cat Customs boat is pretty cool, and there are some cool boats in the background...but overall, it's just total cheese.
Chad Everett is supposed to be Don Aronow. Python boats is supposed to be Cigarette. The bad guy - character name Thomas Rampy is supposed to be Ben Kramer I think. I guess it's pretty pathetic that I watched it enough times to remember that... My copy is so worn out that you can't hardly hear it anymore.
I did always find if funny that the Coast Guard captain in the opening scene was the star of my driver's ed videos though...
