Semper:

Is your truck a diesel?

I would think twice about putting a GAS tank in the bed. During an accident they can become missles.

My $ .02

Your right, after some research -I am more interested in the replacement tank (larger) for the original tank

They're in Corona, I had a 48 gal tank put in my 2500 8.1 a few years ago and it never gave me a problem. Uses factory sending unit and goes in stock location. It just stays on full longer. I think I paid $650 installed.

I think there is a mfg in Corona that makes an aux tank that fits under the bed, between the frame. Will check with an owner and post tomarrow if I can find the name. Saw it before installed, its really nice, although it does have a lot of angles, and outtanks, etc.

If your truck is diesel there is a replacement for your stock tank the replacement tank is 53 gallons. You can order it from John Giannini @ 208-681-1569 they designed it at their dealership. He will ship it to you if your interested. They do not deal with replacement tanks for gas trucks due to the volatility of gas.
