Nice shots, Rob. Yeah, it's a little tough to push the trigger of the camera with one hand as you are clawing for the grab handles with the other. I especially like the one looking down the nose as we are going skyward.

Hugh and I were running side by side for a long while but trust me when I say it was not anywhere close to wide open. we couldn't keep the boats in the water. You can't see from any of the pics but the swells were average 6 footers with the occasional 8' in the mix and on top of that there was white caps and confused water.
A few of us stopped half way up to S.B. and decide to go back to Ventura and have lunch there instead of beat the crap out of our boats. I had Chet Huffman with me (the owner of the 43' Nortech "Way Nutz") and as he put it when asked how he felt about continuing, "it just depends on how much you want to beat the sh!t out of your stuff." This was after he was thrown to the floor coming off the back side of a swell and dropping into a hole that felt like it was the bottomless pit!!
Trust me Steve, I'll catch up with Hugh when the time is right and have a little drag for that dinner (and drinks) you're offering! I'm game....
It was really nice meeting Hugh. You sold the boat to a great guy who is keeping on the tradition of taking good care of it!!
