Definitely angled. Our 25 has angled and looks good. I will get some pics this weekend for you. As far as flappers, do you have silent choice? If so, the butterfly closes when you turn off the boat so you shouldn't have any water issues. Just be careful backing into waves. The only time you could have a problem is if you were moving along and you have to pull back hard and water goes up the pipes.

I think angled looks better for a single, with or without a platform.
Twins...... It's just cool having 4 exhaust tips, straight or angled.
This is a pic right after paint and new Eddie Marine tips. When I bought the boat it had straight with external flappers. Did not like the looks.

From eddie marine... If I remember right, 10" overall, 4" inside, 6" outside. The"Non-burn internal flappers" that came in these tips lasted about 4 months. The rods holding the steel flappers were welded into the pipe and the welds broke, cut of the what was left and don't run any flappers..
