Re: My new boat has arrived
Livorsi wasn't even in business in 1963 I do have a period correct(1963) genuine Merc tachometer to replace the 80's Evinrude tach, tho . Dano is changing motors as we speak. This will be a fun project,at minimal cost. I have realized it doesn't have to cost big bucks to enjoy what you love Only disappointment is Karen would not ride in my concave bottom Switzer Shooting Star cause it rode so rough,I thought the smoother ride of the G-3 would get her to cruise witn me,but she refused again, saying something about not riding in a boat that's about the same age as she is

Re: My new boat has arrived
My Dad's first boat was a 14 ft. Glastron, then after a couple of years he got "footitis" and got a 16 and `1/2 (I think anyway, I was only eight) Glasspar little cuddy cabin with an Evinrude 75 on the back. Somewhere I've got some pictures of it. I'll try to find them when I start unpacking.
Great great boat....

Post some pictures when you have the Merc mounted.

Re: My new boat has arrived
Robert,
Gosh does that bring back fond memories! In Fort Lauderdale, at the time your boat was built, the G-3 was THE boat. I'm forgetting the names of some of the guys that owned them, (Randy Ruttger was one, they lived just off the Intracoastal on NE 23rd. Street) but the G-3 guys always had the pretty girlfriends. I kinda think the boat had something to do with it... Our Woodson tri hull just wasn't the magnet. Enjoy!! Oh yeah, Karen sounds like a very smart woman............................

Tower of Power!!!!!!!
I miss my 15 foot Hydrostream often with the 150XS on it. What a blast that boat was. Use it and abuse it. It is now owned by a freind sitting in his yard I pulled a Fred with that one, had it all fixed up and then sold it.....
