Tank I would take a good look at the Stainless Marine stuff. The KE is also real good. 5 Year Warrantee with the Stainless Marine I think that they will be a little cheaper then the KE. I as others have said would NEVER put used manifolds on new motors that you just dumped all that coin into. You will always be wondering. Even if you preasure test them they may preasure test ok then you find out in a month that they cracked and leaked and now you need to rebuild agian

Hi Tank , I don't run a blower set but just purchased exhaust from Steve Snider of Snider Marine. Bought two sets of Emi Thunder exhaust complete with all hardware and mounting brackets including polishing for about $ 2,300.00 for both sets. He has great pricing. You can reach him at 815-654-2838. He is very helpful. I also considered buying used, but found that anybody selling used GIL or Stainless wanted as much as the EMI cost me new (with a warrenty). EMI also makes an exhaust setup similar to the GIL but for less money. Just my experience. Rick G.

Rick,
Where is Snider Marine located, I am looking to go with polished EMIs for my jetboat project. Did you have to go with different valve covers to accomodate the center rise or will they work with a standard valve cover?

Paul they are located in Illinois but the goods are shipped direct from Eddie Marine in California. They clear the stock valve cover no problem. In fact I beleive there is an instalation project with this exhaust in a recent Hot Boat Or Family & Performance boat Mag, I will check tonight when I get home and post the issue latter for you. These suckers come complete with mounting hardware and plates to mount your electrical and ignition box if there were mounted as mine were on the original center riser. (1982 454 330 hp BBC). I looked for used GIL and Stainless and every one I contacted wanted at least $1,500.00 per set used, which is a lot of dough for used equipment considering you are never sure of its history.Check the site www.eddiemarine.com for pricing and take off approx 10% for Sniders price. He will do better on volume. Hope that helps Rick G.

Rick,
Thanks I will give him a call. Sounds like you and I are in the same boat(no pun intended)when it came to shopping for new/used exhaust. I did look and inquire, but for 300.00 more bucks you gotta go new. Now it is time to explain to the defense dept.(wifey) for my budget overrun.
Woman...they just don't understand horsepower!
