For what it is worth ran my cat at Miami 3 people full of gas to get the same speed at LOTO 660 ft it had to be a cold day one person with no gas in the boat. Around 3 mph but some had to be the altitude difference.

Some claim there is no difference, some claim there is. Some say it's all in the corrected altitude, some say it isn't. The density and buoyancy of the fluid you are running in has to have an effect on the dynamics of the boat. Like I said, I know the results I found on tunnel boats and they spoke for themselves. All races were run at sea level along the gulf coast (from Biloxi, Ms. to Rockport, Tx) and the setups for fresh and salt water were completely different (as were speeds). Not starting an argument here, just stating the results I noted. Just my .02
