I know that this actual boat, was in fact, designed by Jean claude Simon....as I paid the original bill for the design work.

Davey Wilson on back speak with Cesare Fiorio Team Manager of Martini Racing.
"Dry Martini 3" was a Coyote 38' that didn't made a good impression. Niccolai raced with it in Viareggio-Bastia-Viareggio in 1979 but the boat delaminated in the hull during the race. Niccolai then abandoned this boat and back to the old Picchiotti-Shead 38' in alluminium to race the World Championships Final in Venice. But he met Betty Cook with her Cougar cat 38' Kaama....

Anybody that knows this boat PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE call me. I am documenting the history and would love to get more info on Betty Cook, etc. Mention OSO , KAAMA, etc when leaving a message and I will return call ASAP.

Thanks!

A Coyote 38 was racing in P1 or Hamsworth Trophy a few years ago, will look for some pictures, I am sure not many of these boats made it to Europe

Another boat made in USA not very well succeeded:

The "Cigarette Cat" ,Bill Seebold's design , wodden Halter/Cigarette for Francesco Cosentino that defending him 1978's World Title,in Venice World Finals 1979.
After a mile of race it went to lost the boots....
