ICED in. in KC...pics added
This sucks!! we have about 2"-3" inches of ice. Power is out everywhere....i'm one of the lucky ones mine only was out about 3 hrs. They some could be out for upto 7 day...that sucks.
We could still lose it though trees and power lines are still falling. I took some pics from my house, there are alot worse areas than here.
up the street
neighbors house
another neighbor
me casa
the back yard
I'd rather be here:
The beach at the Rutledge, west palm beach

Hey Brian
Yeah it's pretty sucky out there. We consider ourselves VERY lucky, because we have not lost power at all. I think we are just about the only area in the city that hasn't lost it. (knock on wood)
My parents live in Mission and have been without power since 1 a.m. They lost a tree and it smashed through their window. We have lost a tree in our front yard as well. Their are trees down EVERYWHERE. What really sucks is the kids can't even go out and play because limbs are snapping like crazy.
And it's only supposed to be 18 degrees tonight! BBBbbbbrrrrrrr!

Amy,
You are fortunate. Gordo had his electric meter pulled from his house, he'll be w/o for probably 4-5 days. The worst part is..his satelite got crushe...no speedvision! I heard something like 225,000 people without power. Mine keeps flickering......I got my fingers and toes crossed.
If it goes out I guess we'll have to find a nice warm bar

I heard 300,000 people and they have declared it a natural disaster area.
Good luck finding a nice warm bar, and even if you do, everybody and their brother will be there!
I hope Gordo survives. Give us a call if you need any help. 913-599-5757
