I've jumped off my boat onto beach with lanyard hanging from my shorts and nearly killed my batteries and filled oil pan with gas trying to re-start because I forgot to reconnect- still better than being run down by own boat.

Coast Guard ends search for Atlantis man
Palm Beach Post Staff Reports
Sunday, January 15, 2006
The Coast Guard ended Saturday its search for a missing Atlantis developer who vanished from his boat on a return trip from the Bahamas. Petty Officer Gretchen Eddy said the search for James Trindade was suspended at 6:45 p.m. after Coast Guard officials consulted the cold-water tables that predict how long a person can survive in the ocean. "The chance for him surviving... is pretty much gone now," she said.
The Coast Guard discovered Trindade's 38-foot Donzi early Friday morning circling in the water about 30 miles east of St. Lucie County. No one was aboard.
Seas have been 6-8 ft and air temps in the forties since he disappeared

Has anyone ever heard the story about the 41 Apache now known as Ghost Runner and the occupants found unconscious going in circles at sea.
