In Late 90's And Early 2000's The Awesome 38 Cat Was Being Marketed In The Midwest, Loto And Chicago Area. I Rode In The 38 With Twin 500's And It Ran 80-84. They Put Superchargers On It And It Kept Blowing Drives And Still Could Barely Touch 100 Mph. Maybe Old Molds, But It Was As Someone Stated Earlier, Great In Big Water For Ride Comfort But Heavy And Slow.

Re: Awesome cat on Ebay
I have owned both a 32 Douglas Skater and the 31 Awesome Thundercat. Beleve me that the Awesome 31 is much more stable and slower than the skater. When I was younger, I raced in APBA sport class (S11 Krugerrand) and all I wanted was go fast! Now I am 62 years old and all I want is the warm comfy safe feeling. The 31' Awesome Thundercat is scary enough for me now. Side by side with equal power the skater will run faster but the Awesome will be much more predictible and stable in the water. It has the same tunnel as the Chris Cat . I hope Dan Mintz gets the Awesome brand back on the lakes soon as they are a great boat !

I highly doubt it will run 100, Take off the carb covers and they dont look like Merc 502's either.
