Sonic 28,
How's your new boat? I see CSI used what was to be your Sonic in the latest ad. The paint looks great is just stinks about what happened.
Cuda,
No that isn't my boat.
VelocityKenDo,and Velocity Tom
How heavy are your boats, and how much horsepower and torque do your engines have? Yes one of my drives failed. Yes I'm thinking about rerigging with somthing else but not sure which way yet.Our boat is making 800hp and 867lbft of torque per engine and our boat weighs approx 11K with a full load.I may have a great deal for you!!

In my opinion I think they have the best upgraded bravo out on the market. I am running around 950 hp and 950 ft lbs of tq in a 5000 lb single v and run one of there upgraded drives. About once a season I break something, usually the lower gears. They have done alot with their upgrades and their quality control is good but you have to remember they are still only as strong as a stock xr gear. I heard B-max has a new drive out with stronger lower gears then stock. I wouldn't bother trying to run any kind of bravo style drive in a heavier boat though with power similar to mine other wise you will be dissapointed. The old style b-max still uses bravo xr lower gears which is what breaks in mine so I wouldn't waste my time with one of them either. I guess it depends on the power to weight ratio of your boat, the more your boat weighs the less power it will take to break the gears. For ultimate depedability you will need something with heavier gears,Smitty

Somebody please give me an answer to this question. Are all the alternatives out there, B-Max, Max machine Works, etc.... all based off the XR drive? If they have some XR parts, then why do people pay alot more $$ for these drives? Sounds like their weakest link is an XR part?
Thanks
Thanks
