I am curious if there has been a significant shift in performance boating from the East Coast of FL to the West Coast in recent years. 10 or more years ago I think no one would question that South East Florida was the capital of offshore boating. I expect it still is however lets see what our poll shows.

Theres lots of places to go on the West Coast of FL. I mostly stay south of Clearwater north of Bradenton and south of the Gandy bridge in Tampa Bay. I've been to Sarasota, Venice, Naples, Marco Island and various parts of the ICW in between. Good boating and lots of places (bars) to go by boat is a big reason I live here. I love the boating in the Atlantic from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami but thats about all I like there. Much more laid back on the West Coast.

I love the west coast especially the Sarasota area, but do most of my boating in the Daytona Brach area because it's much closer.
