Calling All Florida OSO Members
Hello OSO
On March 4th & 5th 2006, The Florida Lions Camp will be hosting their second annual
“Racing for the Kids” in association with the APBA & Peace River Outboard Racing Association bringing all the excitement of Hydro racing. At $5.00 per carload admission you can bring the whole family. Plenty of parking & spectator viewing. So grab your lawn chairs & blankets and join in on the fun. All proceeds for this event will benefit the
“Florida Lions Camp” for camper sponsorship & growth of our camp. FLC is a non-profit camping facility for blind & multi-handicapped children & adults. We are very proud of our camp & excited to be hosting this event for the second year. We have food & beer concessions on sit, so please, no coolers. For more race information & watch a really cool prom video visit www.floridaoffshorerace.com
So come on out to and enjoy the races. Help us help the kids!!

The site is at Tiger lake which is VERY close to Lake Wales so don't get confused..
Place Lake Wales , FL Tiger Lake
Directions The camp is located approx. 35 miles west of Florida Turnpike on U.S. Hwy. 60 - 10 miles east of U.S. Hwy 27.
Accommodations There are facilities at the Lion's camp. Full RV hook-ups. They have very nice cabins available at reasonable rates ($40.00 per night). Contact Linda at Lion's camp (863) 696-1948 for information. Super 8 motel, $63.00, phone 863-676-7925 or Green Gables motel in Lake Wales. We reccommend the cabin at the camp.

Re: Calling All Florida OSO Members
Although we would have loved to be there the week before for the Race for the Kids, AMF had a great time at the Sunshine Nationals at the Florida Lions Camp this past weekend. We will continue our efforts to bridge the gap between offshore racing and racing at the grass roots level. We believe in large part that this is vital to grow the sport as a whole and are commited to this endeavor.
We were happy to sponsor the awards dinner and present a check to the Florida Lions Camp, a great cause and great organization. We were proud to be a part of this great event
Thanks to all
