Noise restrictions at LOTO?
I have boated at the Lake for a long time, but have increased my hp without mufflers this year and wondered how much the local patrol watch that type of thing? I really don't want to use mufflers but don't want to be hiding all summer either. Any suggestions?

Water patrol told me if they see a tail they have to pull you over because they know your LOUD. $6500 in mufflers isn't enough to keep them happy with only 94.7 db.

Just tell them you could not see them cause you were going fast....and also that you did not hear there sirens cause your motors were too loud!!!!

The noise ordinance at LOTO is definitely enforced, so if you think you're too loud, you probably are. It's just a matter of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. I think it's a waste of time considering there's many other issues that should be addressed. A loud boat, big deal? What about 4-5 foot cruiser waves tearing up docks and endangering all other boats on the lake?? Or pwc out of control, I don't know how many times I've nearly ran one over when they cut in front of me?

I've heard some real horror stories about the noise police. Like was mentioned, partly wrong place, wrong time. I see lots of loud boats all the time as well, so they can't be everywhere. But guess its just a matter of time. Also would like to see them be more concerned with the real problems that were mentioned. Hate it as well since I really want to hear how my 572s are going to sound without mufflers.
