the "noise restrictions" you are refering to is mostly an issue at the main marina luanch ramp (not on the lake in general). I've never heard of ANYONE having an issue with loud exhaust once on the lake. I believe there will be a pass to launch at the main marina for participants in the event. Should not be any problems.

There will be no pass at the marina. If your boat is over 30ft in length and/or won't pass their stringent (more restrictive than state law) noise test, they will not allow you to launch. That will leave you Site Six, Windsor, Sand Point or Havasu Springs. I know that Jim has arranged for participants to launch at the Nautical; however you won't be allowed to park the trailer there unless you are actually registered at the Nautical as a guest.

Good to know Art. I'm glad theres no pass for the main marina. F*ck those c*ck suckers!!! I don't want to see anyone giving their money to them anyway!
Windsor works fine. And the ramp at the Nautical works well too.

I'm staying at the Nuatical and lauching there as well. You wont ever catch me at site six again, July 4th it took me 4 hours to get off the water there........Wife dropped me off at about 9pm or so and didn't get the boat on the trailer until 1 in the morning. Big mistake. The jack a$$ at the marina can go f__k himself too.

Oh, and to stay on topic, I was told they give everybody a pass on that weekend for noise. I had a close friend get a ticket in the channel on an off weekend and the cops said the only time they didn't mess with anyone is on those special event weekends. He made the mistake of firing up his boat in the channel while the patrol was going behind his transom. You know how loud efi motors are when they first fire up, especially 525's.

The max length at the marina in Havasu is 32' and you can't be over 86 or 88 db's PERIOD. They will test you if they have no record of your boat. I have mufflers on mine and use the ramp virtually every time due to convenience and overall security/safety of my family.
