Sell Me Your Boat - $50k, Twins, Newer, 27 - 29ft, In FL, Dry Stored, Turn-Key
After the survey looks like my deal on the Donzi 28ZX MAY fall thru. We'll see for sure after I get the report.
BUT, since I am impateient, tired of searching the internet, tired of driving around and ready to just be out on the water ...
I am looking for:
- Turnkey ready to go (clean-up OK - needs $5k of work not OK)
- Twins
- 27-29ft
- Full Hydraulic Steering (1/2 cable, Hydraulic OK)
- Good in the rough (I live in Cocoa Beach and will be on the ocean and FL ICW)
- Newer Construction, Relatively Low Hours
Finances are in order and I am ready to buy yesterday. Show me what you've got...

Kswest,
I just sold my Velocity 280 to a guy in canada, but it wasn't what you wanted anyway, (single HP500). Where are you going to store your new boat when you get it?
We live on Merritt Island, off Sykes Creek, where we keep out 35' Nordic on the lift. I don't know of any other boats in Brevard Co. that fit your requirements, but hopefully you can find something in the S. FL. Boat trader, or boatraderonline.com, or here in the classifieds. That's where I would look if I were in the market.
When you get your boat, let me know, we get together and do some boating.
Dean

Sounds like a plan. I have inside dry rack storage setup at Harbortown in Merrit Island. I am on the beach just behind boston beef and seafood (Flores Ocean Suites). Must not be much more than a 10 minute drive to get to your place.
Most of the boats I am finding are between Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. Not too far to drive, but I am def. getting tired of the back-to-back 3 hour drives.
Thanks for the tips.

B.O.A.T.T. (Bring on another ten(or twenty OR thirty) Thousand!!!!
You might want to consider singles or up your $
I recently bought a 29' Fountain and prefer a single engine at this size personally.
Here's what I found, at least a couple of them are in Fl. Bajas may not be the fastest machine out there but they are predictable and good in the rough.

PS: I'm over in Orlando currently and looking to get over that way more often in the near future.

Thanks. Re the single ... we are planning on making a few bahamas runs and I prefer the peace of mind of the twins. Seems they are available in this price range, just have some looking to do.
