Re: OSO brothers HELP us fight the Alabama boat ban!
Stay tuned. Big things are in the works. As soon as we get the details worked out I will start a new thread. We will need donations, hope our OSO friends don't mind us asking for a buck or two. Going to cost a lot to fight this but we have to stop it now. We have promises of support from some fairly wealthy boat owners but the grass roots support of $20,$50,$100,will make the difference. Will be maybe 10 days before we work out the plan. I will let everyone know as soon as we get rolling. This is not just about Alabama,it's about boating rights everywhere. We can beat this, stay tuned. Robert

Which lakes are affected? I Am planning a trip to wheeler lake in two weeks. Legal or not I'm still going. It ain't no fun if you can't get in trouble for doing it.

Re: OSO brothers HELP us fight the Alabama boat ban!
Here is an update. We met with our attorney this morning. He will file the lawsuit based on constitutional issues on behalf of several property owners, several individuals.and a business that will suffer harm from the new law. We are confident we will win. We are a little short of money, but our attorney agreed to file it with the hope that once the suit is filed, more donations will be forthcoming. Plus several of us promised to meet any shortfall out our own pockets. It is that important. This will be a test case for all other restrictive boating laws in the future. We still need donations. Send anything you can,no matter how small or large to :Frank M. Wilson,Attorney,c/o HB 756,PO Box 2389,Montgomery,AL 36102. The future of boating as we enjoy it is at stake here. And for you Fountain guys, the way the law is written,ALL Fountain models are banned from these 3 lakes, cause all Fountains are over 26' 11" and run at least 60 mph. If we don't stop it now what's next?
