Re: Suzuki 250hp. 4-stroke outboards
because suzukis actually function properly.
suzuki block has a much bigger displacement (220 CID vs. 158 CID), is N/A, does not spin as fast and still manages to be lighter by about 50lb.
which makes for a faster and a more reliable engine. i used to be a mercury/mercruiser dealer and i know their products. that's why i don't want them...

Those Suzuki's have had my attention for a while. I guess my hunch was right...they are probably better than most of the competition out there.
I wondered why Evinrude didn't compare them to the new E-tec...everyone else was there Mercury. Yamaha but not the Suzuki.

Re: Suzuki 250hp. 4-stroke outboards
at one time i sold the DF line for Travis Boating Centers.. they are a good motor for the money.. Suzuki ran the motors for some un-godlly time on a number of different boats before they rolled the motors out.. i want to say like 350 plus hours then sent them back to Japen and had them tore down.. i have acest to Mercury, Bomb, Yahama and suzuki motors and if i was to rig a boat for myself i would go with the DF 250.. everyday and twice on sunday.. know i don't want to step on any board spouncers here.. but if you read this message i gave you the place to buy them and if you don't get any replies form the spouncer PM me and i'll give you the name of my old GM and he can get them cheap for you.. but you have to have a Suzuki Tech on hand to buy any of the motors or they wouldn't sell you any.. Mandated by Suzuki themselves.. only there techs can rang the motors.. or no warranty..

at one time the Bomb family was using the DF250 as there 4-stoke.. all they did was repaint and resticker them... don't know if they still have that agreement in force or not...
