Motorized Navigation Pole Light??

Unless you are real set on one, you might want a regular one. The internal connections on those don't seem to hold up well, makes the light blink a lot and sometimes just not light

Innovative lighting makes one. New ones are LED and I have had no trouble with mine. If you turn the switch on then off then back on it will signal SOS. I really like mine and I also have a stern light mounted on the transome so it is more of an anchor light. I got mne from Eddie Marine. ![Drink](/forums/images/smilies/drink.gif)

Also there is a setting that will make the light blink SOS in morse, maybe you are mistaking that setting for loose connections.
I use my boat in fresh water also, so it might be a salt water enviroment issue if there are people having problems with those.
