Phantom 25 with twins 2.5 EFI SS on water at last
Hi!
Three years project completed. Last week my Phantom 25 hit the water with two Merc 2002 2.5 EFI SS engines with PCU's. Each engine is approx. 300 hp each after Michael Wernes skilled hands. Enclosed some pictures. More to come. Now its prop testing that counts. Lots of potential.

Hi!
I have only tested with stock 28 pitch Bravo One props. Top speed is 85 mph with 3 persons at 6.300 rpms. It seem to that the Bravo One lift the transom too much, and above 85 mph there is no more bowlift left. The boat neeeds bowlift at 85 mph, and if i trim out more, the rpms increases but no more speed. The speed is also the same with one person. Propshaft height is 1,25 inches below the bottom. Setback is 2 inches. Senterline senterline is 19 inches between the engines.
I will try a pair of stock Mirage Plus propellers today. I also have a pair of 4 blade offshore 30 pitch cleavers for loan. I will try to get hold of some chopper props.
some say the propheight is too high, some say its too low. The boat was used as a offshore race hull in the 80 ties, and former racers tells me that my propshaft height is conservative.
What do you reccommend?

Joker, the Phantoms that we all know and the Phantoms on the other side of the pond are of no relation.....totally different boats.
Toffen, Usually a Bravo 1 gives more bow lift but a 4 blade will have some transom lift too. Hydromotive props are known for more transom lift over a Bravo 1 prop. the prop shop here in the USA called Throttle Up might have some suggestions for you. They are on this board.
