There was a guy at Havabrew that had written on the boat NO I AM NOT SINKING! I just hope that he never does start to take on water

I didn't realize so many others have had similar situations.

I did have my neighbor in Florida call me once and tell me the same thing!
I left the boat in to go eat before I put it up on lift.
At least he didn't call in the cavalry

Had the exact same thing happen to me about 3 years ago. I left my 29 Fountain in the water overnight at the Mariott Waterside docks and gave them my telephone number in case they needed to reach me. The next afternoon (a Monday) my secretary got a frantic call from the manager of the hotel telling me that my boat was sinking. She called me out of a major meeting in a panic and I ran down to the docks only to find my boat as I had left it.

Those darned Fountains. Seriously, if you're not familiar with the way they sit, you'd think the same thing.

Good to know there are civilians out there looking out for the boaters -- even if the reaction is a bit over the top
