Sometimes I wish my guests would realize that I put in about 2-3 hours work prior to going and at least another hour after I get back cleaning and prepping and launching the boat.
I have one that shows up an hour early to help. Last time out a couple my wife knows said, "you look wore out already" when they climbed off the dock on to their ready made day out.
I had got the boat out of storage at 9am, 10 mile round trip to fill with Shell Super, stopped at carwash to clean outside, checked all fluids and run the engine for 10 minutes on the hose, wiped down the interior, loaded a couple of coolers, launched the boat and tied it up at neighbours dock, gone back home cleaned up and changed and then back to the dock with my wife to wait for them.
It's all good, we did have a great time

From Creedence Clearwater Revival Lyrics: Proud Mary
Cleaned a lot of plates in Memphis,
Pumped a lot of 'tane down in New Orleans,
But I never saw the good side of the city,
Until I hitched a ride on a river boat queen.
CHORUS
Rolling, rolling, rolling on the river.
If you come down to the river,
Bet you gonna find some people who live.
You don't have to worry 'cause you have no money,
People on the river are happy to give.
You don't have to worry 'cause you have no money,
People on the river are happy to give.

..........except nothin'. Maybe waiting 16 years to have a boat again warped my perspective into enjoying a lot of the stuff that used to annoy me.

The damn "lake lice"!
I cannot tell you how many times a damn Sea Doo has come straight at me or turn right across my bow. If I didn't back off the throttles, I would have killed them all!
