Reasons I don't think I could ever buy a mid-size CAT:

Low potential for overnight stays.

Low-slung design. Most docks here on the bay are fairly high at low tide. Low-slung boats are a ***** to keep from floating under the dock.

High insurance - many thousand per year???

The reason above don't mean much to many people. Bottom line - there is no one boat that will give you everything. Three months ago I would have sold you my 2001 29 so that I could move up. Getting too close to summer now.

Turbo, I am getting the discovery for 1500 over invoice so I don't think I will get hurt to bad. It also has the 330HP Cat with about 850lbs of tq. I tow my 28 cat with my Tahoe, I have added a Whipple and some other Mod's to the Tahoe and it tows Awsome. I think the Motor Home we are looking at would tow my 28 just fine since a friend has a 36 Daytona and he tows that with his Fleetwood Diesle that has 300hp.

Catmando, Ya I know what you meant! Also I noticed the Smiles next to the comment and I have learned not to take things with smiles seriuosly. If you ask my wife she say's it was stupid and she doesn't include any smiles!!

UT, Real funny!! I hope that is not a fat guy joke!

I was just kiddin, Yes I am a big guy, that is why I have to build really light boats.

Since I just turned 30 today I guess my next boat should be 30ft long. I think it's going to get harder and harder to keep up with that rule (a ft for every year)
