I am not sure how many poker runs you have attended but the cross wakes when mixed with step bottom boats can cause a change in direction with a moments notice. Mix that in with some unpredicatble water. To date I have never been reported to the Coast Guard for unsafe operation.

And pulling back on the throttle would have got me run over by the boat behind me in those conditions.
You are absolutly correct, and i hate to be the one to bring it up. I was not there, and do not know the whole sceen. I have been on my share of runs, not as many as you but at least a dozen, so I know how fast things can change. Guess my entire thought was that I feel this segment should not be shown to hte public eye on the TV show. They too might get the wrong impression and think you cut them on purpose.
As for the sailboat tacking in the channel, guess my thought is that should have been noticed by looking ahead of your current line.
I am not, nor want to, question anyones reason of manuaver, just stating opion that others watching 'may' think what I did. And those that are not boaters will interpret it with a much higher disrespect then anyone on this board will, including me.

Enough said I think, and hope.

Great shots. That run was more of an Air Show then a Poker Run.

I know what you are saying. Maybe that should've been edited out. But, with the water conditions out there, you were really looking for the next 8' hole instead of even 200 yards in front of you. By far the roughest sees I have ever been in.

All in all, a great video!

Yes 2007 just finished up some work on engines and carbs, two small Donovan's ,kicks in at 5,500 rpm,red lines @ 8,000 running 116 octaine between 600-650 hp each. Will test it on Lake Geneva next week and then take it to the big lake and see how she handles the rough water.Bud
