Most of the time it is the gear lube monitor. But if you eliminate that,there are 27 other things that set off the beep. Eliminate the gear lube ,then get a Merc dealer to plug in his scan tool.Shouldn't cost a lot,and then you will know for sure. But 99% of our problems are gear lube.
