I belong to Donzi.net and a gentleman on that site recently sold his 1975 X-18 which was clocked at or near 124 MPH ! I have never seen this boat in person but there are a few other Donzi members that may be on this site who have.
As for its age and for its size of only 18 feet I would doubt that there are any that can compete with that.
I will try to post some videos

ARRRRGHHh!!!
Why can I not upload photos or videos for this site. Every time I try it says files are too large, how do I downsize them.
As for videos this is the same result. People please help, you would like this footage, short but very cool!

I had a 39 sutphen with big power. Awesome exceleration and speed when it was calm. No chance against my Saber in rough, far less wicked won or leopajm. Can't keep it in the water long enough to stay hooked up at those speeds. NK
BLee PApache is 15 mph faster than ww.

Oopps forgot. My post featured 41 and less. Big water, staright bottom v-hulls? Absolutely no on is getting by a 47 Apache. I have ridden in 4 of them and you simply can not believe it till you feel it. I'll be giving rides next summer in a new 47 Saber for the unbelievers. Come one come all. NK

The way I think of this is per size with same engines. So in the under 30 foot size I'd have to say a 26 Corsa and the 26 Velocity. I saw these boats run away from many other boats in the old APBA Factory 1 class.
Overall fastest today non step boat is a Velocity. Velocity boats are very light and they have a big wide flat pad to run on.
