I have used a mirror and a rear facing camera.
I actually prefer this:

The camera does not provide any depth perception, and the mirror aiming from the top, does so. I imagine I could get used to the camera, (used it on a friend's truck), but the mirror works perfect for me.

I've been using one for several years. Once you start using it, and you get in another truck or car, you'll miss it. Invaluable.
I use the setup from Vizual Logic called Hindsight, linked up above by another member. The installation looks OEM.

Anyway, makes for a clean stealth looking install. Remember, if you can't see it there's less chance of it getting stolen.We've also done some dual camera set ups. One in the bed for a Gooseneck and one on the back for the bumper hitch. We use a dual mode screen and then switch back and forth between each one. Pretty cool.

That's where mine is...actually it is in a letter on the tag...unless your upclose you caan't tell that it is there....i use it with my double din alpine 200...dvd toos....though i would like to do what bucks doing and added another for my gooseneck....in time..boat came first.
