Re: LOTO Accident
Wow, the Doris' are the ones who bring some of the pontoons to the shootout. What a shock. I wonder what happened at 9:00 in the morning that would cause the toon to roll? Anyone know anything more?

Here's the water patrol press release on the Scarab. The guy is one lucky sob and should be thankful he is alive.

Re: LOTO Accident
Not to argue the safety of the lanyard, but it does not say he was ejected or even thrown across the boat. All it says is that he was knocked out. He could have still been in his bolster and never far enough out to pull the lanyard. Does anyone know if he was or was not wearing the lanyard?

I agree. Too many assumptions here.

Re: LOTO Accident
I'd swear that boat was owned by a guy who organized the Oshkosh poker run. It was a pretty sweet boat and he was selling it for a matching price. I thought asking was 48k. I know that he was a member on this board, but never posted much.

Re: LOTO Accident
I saw this boat coming out of the Gravous(sp). this past Sun. as I was watching the Chiefs on TV. It caught my eye from my condo b/c its bright color and just so few boats on the water.
The water level is down a couple of feet. There is a island on the east (edit) side of the lake outside the cove to Big Thunder is there not. Is it possible with the lake down he perhaps got too close....I think the it gets shallow on the north side of that island.
From the middle picture SteveH has above that sure looks like the west side of the lake looking to that condo complex accross.
