Miami Boat Show... on a budget?
I was just searching on Hotels.com.
http://www.hotels.com/property.do?CO...=2007&CIDay=15
http://www.royalsouthbeach.com/
I stayed here for the 2003 MBS.
Its not a bad place.
Its not spectacular.
The sheets were clean, and you are not in your room much.
(2.5 star rating is about right)
The price is right per Hotels.com at $166.50 (less tax) per night.
With JetBlue and SouthWest (neither of these airlines advertise on Travelocity, Expedia, etc., so go to their OWN websites to check) both flying to Ft. Lauderdale, you might can get a decent fare in and out of South Florida, and you can cab from Lauderdale or take the Tri-Rail. You won't need; nor do you want a car when in South Beach.
Good luck if you so choose. Do you own search.

Re: Miami Boat Show... on a budget?
The South Beach Harley Rental shop I that I have used closed, but they are still open in Lauderdale, and will deliver. I think they are $175-$225/day depending on model and length of rental.
www.americanroadcollection.com (but for some reason their website is "closed" until next season. ????
I was awake at 3:24AM. I was asleep by 3:30.
