Re: Tyler Crockett Marine
Tyler is as good as they come. He tuned and dynoed my 502 with a procharger he did a great job. Made 740hp and 740 ft. lbs. of torque. He just built a 540 with a Whipple for a friend of mine. It had some tuning problems so he flew here to Va. to work on it. Got the problems all worked out and ran 102.4 in a 29 Fountain during the Potomac Radar Run.

As Buck stated I am picky and I highly recommend anything that Tyler works on from boats to cars to Harley's.

So thats the big secret... ok I'm taking notes
All kidding aside Tyler is a stand up guy and even though I bought a boat with the competition(blue) motor in it, he has helped me out with any questions that I had and has done some work for me. Hes been in the business some 20 odd years now, you dont last that long putting crap out.

Re: Tyler Crockett Marine
I chose to do business w/ Tyler because of his great reputation , especially here on OSO. He is our "Official ORL Engine Re-sealer" , I would highly reccomend him.

JBoat,
I think you have the idea by now as to Tyler Crockets' reputation.
There are a number of good/reputable engine builders out there. Tyler is indeed one that is at the top of the game. Not only is it true that Tyler has done quite a bit of R&D on the 496 for GM and himself, but he has also built racing engines for a whole fleet of offshore racing teams ranging from A clas, B class, Factory 1 and Factory 2, the old Super V class and a host of Outlaw performance class race boats. He was one of the select few APBA Authorized Factory Racing rebuilders, and has his name on a bunch of offshore, lake and river screamers on the water.
In short, Don't think twice about the power, just make sure the rest of the boat is OK.
