Re: Ft Myers Offshore Fun Run to benefit sole survivor of Marco Island Boating Accide
Just a few of todays developments: About 10 of us met at the Cabana at 3:30 to have a wrap up meeting and just go over the final details. We are ready for Saturday. It is going to be a big day for everone involved.
We pre registered 8 boats so they are all set with wristbands, draw ticket etc.
It looks like 43 boats that I know of at this date. There is a wild card here and that is the exact unknown number of non OSO boats that show. Many know of the event but not all have contacted me. If the weather is good we will have the 50 + that we had hoped for.
We are watching the weather closely and remain hopeful it will co operate.
Daily morning weather updates as well as lots of other essential information found in the Driver/ Participant Info thread in the Ft Myers Offshore section of Boat Club Forums. It is important that all drivers review this information and share with any non OSO you know are coming.
Also Allied Richard Bertram Marine Group [ Naples] tracked me down and will be sending me information tomorrow on a sunset cruise for 4 aboard a luxury yacht. With the online auction set to close at 5 PM Sunday we may auction it off live at Bayfront, Saturday.
Also today Mark McManus donated some awsome Apache items we need to auction off.
