RIP
Kenny Terbrock President of Victory Marine Passes at 51 years of age.
Kenny's Screen name was Nine Lives on several sites.
This may be a name many of you have never heard, please let me take a moment to introduce and say good by.
I first met Kenny when I was about 17 (1992) at the 14mm party cove. He had eveything I wanted fast boat (31 American Offshore) Beautiful wife (Pam) and daughter (Jill) a fully tubbed 1 ton suburban dually with a juiced up big block (built in his garage) and a new corvette.
I started a friendship with Kenny that lasted until last night and quickly realized the toys were not what made him cool....
I had told my dad of my new friend and come to realize my dad bought a 71 duster from Kenny when they were teenagers and all went to high school together.
Kenny was the the holder of the fastest bravo powered boat for a while The Lake Ozark based American Offshore called Nine Lives. He was an avid drag, sprint, motorcycle, and boat racing fan. He also sponsored a local driver in the go kart leagues.
Kenny's main passion was boats. He and I formed a small company and purchased a 39 aronow cat to redo and sell (sold it before we ever took delivery) back in 94. Kenny's passion remained true after a career as an electrician he pursued his dream by going to work for MTI and making a great friend in their lead rigger. Kenny then spent the next 2 years designing and bringing to life a new 40 foot cat. I last spoke with Kenny and the bottom molds were completed. (I last seen the plug in June and they were doing the final sanding then). The boat is a departure from the normal designs and incorporate's multiple compression points and takes technology from formula 1, drifting and several other motorsports.
Kenny passed away on 2-1-07 at 51 yrs young from the effects of Kemo treatment for cancer, he fought to the end and will be missed he will always be a true friend. My final memories of Kenny were a trip over to look at his boat and a night of Sprint Car racing at I-55 speedway. Godspeed Kenny and if I ever get the bow a little high just reach down and push it back in for me..
