I will tell you that in a marine environment any non marine speakers and even some marine speakers will eventually have problems. This warranty has to be a stores warranty, since the minute the manufacturer sees water damage you will have"NO WARRANTY" Forrest

I agree water damage is obvious to tell. No speaker manufacture will cover that. Now some stores on the other hand will take the risk.

Re: question for the stereo guys/gals on this board
I too have the clarion 1622 in my boat along with a 10" sub, it sounds pretty good. The speakers have ABS baffles behind them and that really cleaned up the bass. Jon, any tips on keeping the RCA jacks on the amps in good shape. They are gold plated and I still have issues with poor connections= poor sound on a frequent basis on the head unit to amp cables. The boat is used 90% in salt water but stored on a trailer at my house.

I have a little different opinion, but I like the Pioneers, not the cheap ones, the two way speaker, they cost about $160.00, I put in 8 of them and four of the 10" Babbs, and MB Quartz tweeters, all on Rockford amps, If anyone on here was at the Richmond poker run last year they can attest that it rocked the entire dock at the pre-party. Good luck
