The Air Force almost got some KC-767 tankers but the project was cancelled- that was that whole Pentagon purchasing agent cum Boeing executive scandal.

Yep. It was dubbed the 767 GTTA (Global Tanker Transport Aircraft). I was the project engineer designing and developing the Rigid Cargo/Pax barrier retrofit. After the scandal, our contract went to the wayside.

EXACTLY........Imagine not paying your income tax for a couple years.....they would find you in a heartbeat and lock you up....but these guys walk freely and make videos to broadcast just to rub it in our faces
