I can remember exactly where I was 19 years ago.......right about this time. I was supposed to go to NY the next weekend for a family event. I was naive enough at the time to think we were still going, it was just a plane crash. The "T" word wasn't being mentioned yet.
The "shutdown' of the whole airspace was crazy, but necessary. The "put" options trading on airlines and the 5mm profit in the account were never collected. The Saudis disappearing from Sarasota is still being covered up by the FBI. To think 15-20 guys put all this together without major help/$$$ is simply insane.
Watched United 93 movie this morning, I hadn't seen it until today. Movie indicates how much of a clusterfvck the military/air traffic control etc were in.
RIP to all the victims on 9/11 and subsequently after 9/11.

If it's any consolation coming from an Aussie living in Thailand, 9/11 changed the world. The U.S. took the brunt of the attacks but the whole world feels the loss from the senseless acts.

I still find it horrifying to watch the current re-runs of 911 on tv as though it was just happening now .

Flew to Washington, D.C.the day before. Sitting in a classified government meeting the morning of the 11th. near Dulles airport. A person walks in and whispers to the meeting moderator and he told us. We kept one of the rental cars and drove back to Michigan.

The people of America should never forget. The savage, cold blooded killing of so many innocent civilians is unprecedented. Many of the young people in this country don’t understand that this vicious attack was an attack on them too. Many older Americans would like for this to be just a bad dream. It mass murder.
We should never forget the sickness of this attack. This video should be shown ever year in it’s pure unfiltered horror to remind the country what a savage murder this truly was. We should know that these sub- human monsters will do it again if they are given a another chance. We must be forever watchful for these threats.
I am a realist that acknowledges that evil will always be with us. I would love actual peace negotiations if they were in good faith. I would like to bring an end to the war on terror. I would like for our troops to come home. However, to think that will occur is pure fantasy, because if we leave the Mideast, the terrorists will reopen the their training camps and further attacks will be certain. We must keep the pressure on these savages, hunt them down and kill them before they kill us.
Watching the towers fall should be required watching every September 11th. We need to see why we must stay vigilant and ready for whatever attacks happen in the future. We must never forget.
