Default flush deck hatches

Im in the process of modernizing my scarab. I want to remove my raised deck hatches and replace them with recesses or flush deck hatches. Has anyone outhere done this conversion or have any resources to offer for this project. I will post pics as we work.

Pics from you guys would help

i have the same boat as you and was wondering the same thing myself. Those factory Bobars are pretty thick. plus the rear hatch you can throw a cow through

Fountain recess their hatches flush. They use acrylic formed to match the deck profile. Look close in front of the W/S. (click twice)

acrylic seems to be the easiest thing rather than forming it out of fiberglass. Question is where can I buy acrylic, that is about 1/2 to 5/8 thick in white.

Any plastic supplier. Or from McMasterCarr. If they don't carry it, is no such thing.
