MArylandmark, it is a simple solution. all you need is a vented bottle in the cowling ( the small square Bravo bottle works awesome ), and a hose with a fitting that screws into the top vent plug in your gearcase.
THis bottle allows the gearcase to breath which in stock form it cannot without pulling in water...
An added benefit is you can visually check the fluid level....
There is a kit made for Champ boats, but you would need to extend the hoses.
If merc would do that and raise the rev limit to say 7100 it would be a dream motor ( add a little more port timing to it too )

Gino I also heard in the Miami Boat Show run the guys in the Skater w/tripps told me that you can reprogram the comp to get more RPM and thats always good but my questions is how releable would it be on a stock motor? Im considering it. Maybe you can ask Larry.

I owned a 32 Triple 300X boat - year 2000 (on Skaters Web Site as the Photo Boat). Very few problems - ran 121 MPH on its best day, 115 all day no problem. Throttle position sensors were the only issue, $40.00 a copy, kept 3 on board, change in 10 minutes.
By the way, sister boat with Twins ran 108 all day.

So you are saying(I have twin PM 300's)That you use the bravo bottle in the cowling(any suggested mounting locations) and run a hose out the cowling or pan on the outside of the motor down the midsection and get a fitting that screws into the top plug of the Lower unit(where you check the fluid level.
Any pics and where would I find the champ boat kit.
