Who's repowering and wants to sell the remnants???
OK, I have a line on a 24/7 hull that was almost sold, and blew up the motor prior to consumating the deal. It's not the Pantera I want, but a splash hull.
I looked at it last summer, and the hull looked good, but I'd need further inspection.
My question is, who out there is repowering, and has a stock low hour 454 to a 496 reasonable $$$$
I don't want to go crazy on power - YET.
Hooking up to a Bravo that is already outfitted with shower, but is also going to need Hydraulic steering.
Anyone selling their old power??

I'm just fishing at this point. I want to get the hull cheap, because I feel the dealer (a Bass boat / eggbeater shop) doesn't understand what they have, and don't really know what it needs. Not that they have that much - it's a late 80's Python, but I don't think they know what to do with it.
Last summer when I was looking at it, the motor and rigging looked a little rough, and I knew it would need gone through. Thinking now, with a blown motor, I could cut a deal, and repower with something one of you guys are powering up from.
Just trying to put together a budget at this point.
I'm working with limited funds.
The funny story is, I was interested last summer, and I thought it sold, but the dealer moved it to a different location. 2 weeks ago a Gal that works for my wife said they bought it - showed me pics - and then today I got the news it blew up this or the past weekend, and they backed out.
I can deal with a new motor if the price is right, and I can replace reliable, and reasonable.
