Who Has Or Sell Sea Strainer Cap With Reg Hose Fitting?
#12
When I had my Sutphen with TRS drives, I fabricated my own flush system. The boat already had a pair of strainers, but I plumbed a tee into each one with a garden hose fitting. I bought everything at Lowes and it really worked great.
Wish I could post some pics, but I sold the boat to "Jammin" last year and he is currently re-rigging the boat, so no pics ... sorry.

The Eickert piece is really nice. The trick is plumbing it. Someone makes a tee that goes in-line between the pickup and the strainer.
And, you need to have ball valves between the strainer and the hull pickups- both to stop the water from just spilling out on the ground and to keep your boat from sinking.
If you don't want to have another hole in the transom, there's an easier and better way than drilling your strainer tops. Where your strainer outlet is, there should be a 90 elbow. Replace it with a Tee. On the top of the tee, put a bushing to 3/4, then a 3/4 ball valve and then a 3/4 to hose female adapter.
