Yea Sanibel was on the list to actually stay at...but she didnt find any place she liked....but its in the plan to go visit the beaches as they are supposed to be the best for sea-shells apparently..

If you can arrange for them to be at the beach when we are around for me to look at that would be great!

The "crazy flamingo" on Marco has some really good wings called Al Chin wings. They're a weird teriaki or something. Guy Harvey's is pretty cool and so is Vandys.
Naples has some nice spots but don't bother with "tin city" it's a total tourist trap.
Sanibel is nice if you want nothing to do, I like Captiva much better, but you should visit both since they're in the same spot. The Key West bistro (I think thats the name) in Captiva is awesome.
You could always take the high speed ferry to Key West for a day.
Have fun.

Take a drive down to Everglades City and go for an airboat ride. Check out the wildlife there. The Snook Inn is a good casual eating place on Marco. Some neat little shops and restaurants in downtown Naples like Tommy Bahama etc. Get a guide and do some snook/ redfishing for the day.
