Regal builds a real nice boat. Great for families. One guy I knew had one. Looked real nice, good glass work, good equipment.
Their factory is close by. Everything I see leaving is well built. Some times on my Friday off I go to downtown Kissimmee and watch them water test a new cruiser. It's kind of interesting watching them launch and retrieve a 36-40 foot cruiser from a trailer.
Tell your friend he can't go wrong.

Isn't regal having problems right now. I've heard of a lot of dealerships dropping the brand. Something about customer service........

I don't have any first hand experience with regal - most all I know comes from friends who drive them, boating forums, and the boat show.
I found the dirt on regal in this thread.

Seems like they have lost a lot of dealers, which means that although they might sell you one this year - they will not service it via warranty work. Not real sure about any of this, but I would definately research a little deeper before buying one.

First off Regal makes very nice boats. I work for a Regal dealer in LOTO and have drove darn near every boat they have ever made from the older 185 bow rider to he new 4460sport yacht. Also, I have not heard anything about them going out of business and the owner of Regal Boats, Duane Cook, was down here this past weekend for an open house we had going on. Regal is the only boat manufacturer to rank the highest customer satisfaction in 2 different categories, both express cruisers and small bow riders. Needless to say you cant go wrong with a Regal. Which model is he looking at?

The 2400 I would have to say is one of my favorites as far as their bow riders go, next to the 2200. Has he took it out for a demo yet? He will love the way that boat rides. If you have any questions about these boats feel free to ask. I probably know more about the Regals than I do any thing else.
