I'm leaving for the water in a hour to test my boat today,I'm going to run the biggest top pulley first though that only made 1037 hp and 971 ft lbs of tq because I don't want to break a drive right away, just going to run my 30 4 blade and spin it to 6200. Curious if you sheared off a shaft or what broke,Smitty

I know exactly, 107+mph That motor and the natual asperated version I had are my two favorite motors you offer.

As to the drives, they were doomed when you turned the key. Way too much torque..3500rpms @ over 1000 ft/lbs...NO TRANNY-IMMEDIATE DEATH.. Time for a
ASD-7 conversion... Jeff

Smitty,
Not sure what broke just yet. Unfortunetly, this isn't the first time it has broken. I do know that it should not have broken when it did. I was running less than 4500 rpm steady in relatively smooth water when it went.
Not to mention, I had the larger pulley on the supercharger. It made 986 at 6 psi boost with that setup. I didn't even get to put the smaller pulley on yet.

Jeff, I can build you a pair of each if you like them that much. You can do 2 new boats, each one with a different pair of motors.

Here is the result of the first test run. I'm not very optimistic

Here are a few shots of it complete. I have just a few little details to tend to after it gets back from Emerald Coast.
