I have always wondered why the manufacturer (Ford in this case) doesn't use/market the hi-performance chip themselves? If they increase hp, torque and mpg doesn't it seem obvious that they should? Any insight?

seanclong, THe reason they don't get too crazy is the fact they are selling people these trucks that rely don't know how to drive them right . THey don't understand why it is important to warm them up and never make boost while cold . And also why you should idle them to cool them down before shut down . THey think you just jump in and floor it ! More power and more boost when cold means more blown head gaskets cracked heads and skuffed pistons !
My neighbor is in the resque squad and he did it twice! Pulled out cold and floored it . Blew 2 motors in one month ! Sold it and bought a gas engine fro that job .
