This engine is running way to rich at idle. It also doesn't want to really clear out at high rpm. Any help out there?

its your vst tank, the diapraghm in it probably has pin holes in it and your dumping raw gas into the #7 or 8 cylinders, don't remember which one. When the diapraghm goes bad there is a hose that is routed to the the cylinder and all the excess fuel dumps into it. Do a search on vst tanks and you'll find plenty of info on it.

Thanks for the help and suggestions concerning this efi issue. Please keep the info coming. I will be helping torian trouble shoot this. We should probably add that the excessive rich condition appears to be from both banks of cylinders and that this boat has been sitting with VERY LITTLE use for past few years.
