Hi-Performance Mechanic in Martin, St. Lucie or Palm Beach County, Florida?
Does anyone have a terrific high-performance marine mechanic in either Martin, St. Lucie or Palm Beach County, Florida? I live in Stuart but I am willing to travel a reasonable distance for someone who is really good at what they do. Any ideas?

Good luck, the guys up here only want to work on outboards.
I take my boat to Joe Pasuit at Hideaway Marina in Pompano Beach. Shop is loaded with big HP offshores but mostlly a Mercury shop.

If you're going to tow it South anyway, may as well go all the way to Hollywood to Doller Marine.
Great mechanics, knowledgible parts people, best inventory of parts AND you may get to meet adorable Mindi Doller herself!
They are no stranger to custom high performance and can do anything you will need.

The best shop with one of the best reputations is Chief. They are located in Ft Lauderdale near the airport. Tommy Hofstetter is well known in the Poker run and racing community and can accomplish anything you want. If your looking for just general maint. I've got a guy in Jupiter who's rigged for Sonic, Active Thunder, Apache and currently rigs for Island Runner. He also builds race motors for his drag car. PM me and I'll give you his name and number.

You should run it up to Craig Colabella at Colabella Performance. Over 20 years experience with Mercury Racing, and many of our fellow OSO members use him. About the same distance from you to him as Fort Lauderdale. He is in St. Cloud, and he does alot of the OSS race boats work. Here is his website.

Hey Julie - Rick saw another post of mine and left me his number. We spoke briefly today, and I think he's going to be the guy. Unfortunately, I pulled the plugs and found one that the electrode is completely melted and mangled. I think I either floated a valve or broke a wrist-pin. Thankfully, I have two fresh 4-bolt 496CI stroker motors on the stands, Rick will just have to redress one of them for me and do the swap.
Thanks!
