Came out to leave for work and my wife was watching the first reports. Shortly the second plane came in. She was working at our kids school so she went up and they ended up locking the place down (DC suburb). At the same time my father-in-law was flying to Canada from Dulles airport. The pilot aborted in the middle of his take off roll and then he was stuck at the airport till about 4:00. I just sat there all day at home, making and answering calls when I could.

Working @ Newark Airport. Watched in disbelief. Helped secure the airport and went to my First Aid Squad. I am a volunteer EMT. We went to Liberty State Park and spent the night there. I then spent the rest of the week on a 12 hour per day shift w/ my crew and ambulance on the West side highway working the yellow zone of ground zero.

Really Panther? I cound't even imagine.
At work and I heard it on the radio. Then we heard about the second tower and possibly the Pentagon. I went into our exeuctives who were having a meeting and told them it sounded like the U.S. was being attacked. We then turned on the TV and watched in horror.

I was talking with my dad in his shop getting ready to go to class. I was 19 then. We watched on his TV in the shop not knowing what was going to happen next. When the plane went down in DC my mom let us know that a group of ladies from our church were in DC taking a tour of the city. They saw the plane go over thier heads. Everyone made it home okay but, so many others didn't. I joined the Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services not long after that. 343 Fireman died that day. I have a Fallen Heros patch on my office wall. I will never forget what happened.

I had just started my job working for the Public Defender's office a week earlier. A co-worker and I were driving to another office, we were talking and didn't have the radio up. Her husband called and said you need to listen to what was going on, we arrived at the office shortly after, turned on the TV and didn't do much anything else for the next hour. Since we are in government, all the court houses closed shortly after and we drove back to our house.

Had just started my long commute down the 405 in SoCal.
Got a call from a friend. Listened to the horror unfold on the radio...then spent the rest of the day/night glued to CNN.
Never Forget.
