cig/Ocean Hawk 33 Center C
Can one of theese boats compare to a similar year Donzi ZF series? and in closer comparison against a Fountain similar years, size? I have heard they are not that fast or not that slow 58-62 MPH and that twins 225-300 do not really make drastic changes.

Low91207, Fountain does not build a center console that directly competes with a 33 Cig/Oceanhawk. The Fountain is a total fish machine 1st and is designed and built for a different buyer. I am not a fan of the 31 Fountain CC as it has weird and hard to get to access points for things like the bildge pumps, batteries and so forth. My Fountain 38TE is not that way and I really love it. The Donzi 35ZF is sort of in between the style and fish market.
A 33 Cig Cafe with twin 250efi's will run around 58mph. My 33/36 Concept I owned would run 58mph and up to 61 on a lighter load. The Concept is a much lighter boat and can get flighty in the waves were as the Ocean Hawk/Cig Cafe is heavier and would probably do better in rough water. I demo'd a 35ZF Donzi years ago but the water was pretty smooth. They seem like a nice boat but not much faster if any than the Oceanhawk. The Donzi seems to have a little less room too but it was just my impression from sea trials months apart.

Thanks For the info, it seems to be a very nice boat wether it was Cig/Ocean Hawk design. I am in San Juan, PR and the sea here is brutal! speed is good but here you need displacement so the weight is great. There are a couple in the market and i am trying to make a good buy,My impresion on the Donzis is more a mass production boat than a custom boat like this, the newer ones are light and fast but do not feel as stout as a Fountain or The 33 Cig/Ocean.

Several years ago I went to ithe Ft. Lazuderdale show and both boats were sitting in the water close to each other. The Ocean Hawk seems to be a much more solid boat with more angeling capabilties. The concept ahd more flash! The Concepts cost less than the Ocean Hawks at the show.

Thanks all and Brad-
I saw a 33 OH this weekend w/ twin 300X (Suicide Bridge on Tilghman Island, MD.
It looked good!
Very hard to compare a lot of these brands- all in what they buyer is looking for.
I love the Deep Impacts, Fountains, Donzi's, Carerra's, etc but all for different reasons.
Concept fit the bill for what I was looking for- light, fast, inexpensive, narrow beam, minimal frills, etc.

Low91207, If you like the Ocean Hawk/Cig 33 Cafe looks and style you should also keep an eye out for a 33 PowerPlay center console. The Powerplay was a very stout built boat and weights right around the Hawk/Cig weight.
I do not know your budget but the owner of this website and I both have our Fountain 38TE's for sale. His is an 2007 open bow version with dark blue sides and mine is a 2006 closed bow/cuddy all while hull. Both have triple Mercury Verado 275's getting around 1.5mpg with a easy 50-55 cruise and 72-73 top speed.
