When my wife and I used to boat on lake Winnepesaukee in NH. Channel Marine in Laconia, would keep track of how many gals. of fuel you bought and at the end of the season they would file the paperwork for you and send you a check at the end of the year for the road tax refund It was a nice service they provided for thier customers. One year I got a 98.00 check from them!

Thanks for the info Cord. I'll go try that now. All states are different Taz. And there not all listed on that site. They must of forgoten a few, Because Deleware has .23, and they wern't listed on the site. But from what I can tell, you have to ask for refund from which ever state you bought the gas from. I know in MA you don't have to buy the gas from on water pumps. The tax refunded is road maintnance tax. your boat doesn't operate on the roads, so thats why your entitled to the refund. Same goes for excise taxes. you are only required to pay excise tax on the boat TRAILER, not the boat. But you'd be surprised how many states attempt to collect excise on the boat. And the worst thing is, lots of people pay it
