Default Tech. upgrades

This may not necc. apply to boats themselves, but I can think of three very nice additions to the boating community. LED lighting and disk brakes for trailers are awesome. That and replaceable spindle assemblies. Mo more repacking bearings, just bolt another one on.

In 1988 I briefly left Everglades to work for Richie Powers and Jeff Sofer at the now defunct Champion Marine as the sales manager. I hire a brash, young, eager to learn kid from Canada named Randy Sweers to sell boats. Anybody ever heard of "Fastboats.com"?
Ed were you a deckhand on Noah's ark too?

Everytime you post I am amazed with the tech info/stories you are carrying around in your head.

Noah didn't want any Italians on board. He was afraid I would be messing with his daughters!

Thanks.

The Butt-floss Bikini- the #1 reason the pop-up cleat became the ultimate gonad-saving accessory.

Dang, Rich ... I thought for sure you'd have nominated "Hyper-Graphics" over the popup cleat, where would be be without them?

I have more...

As far back as 1987 Pepe Nunez of Pantera and Jim Muir of Dimension 5 Design came up with the closed canopy design race boat with the Recaro seats and 5 point harnesses. APBA was not sold on the idea of this because of safety concerns. It was a tough sell back then when most guys were standing up in V-bottoms.
